While you’re waiting for the Writers’ Festival here at Agnes Scott, I highly encourage everyone to come out to a poetry reading next Tuesday! Adrian Matejka will be joining us on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 7 p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge located in the Student Center. Professor Matejka’s most recent book, Mixology, was selected by Kevin Young for the 2008 National Poetry Series. Hope to see you there!

Guest Spotlight

Scott Russell Sanders studied physics and English at Brown University and, as a Marshall Scholar, completed a Ph.D. in English at the University of Cambridge.  In 1971 he joined the faculty of Indiana University, where he taught until 2009, retiring as Distinguished Professor of English. Among his more than twenty books are novels, collections of stories, works of personal nonfiction, and storybooks for children. You may submit up to five poems, two short stories, two creative nonfiction essays, and one one-act play (Samuel French format, please). Submit files to Rachel Trousdale via e-mail (rtrousdale@agnesscott.edu). DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME IN THE FILE.
